TidyType — Terms of Use

These Terms explain the subscription and usage terms for TidyType Keyboard for iOS and TidyType Pro. TidyType is distributed through the Apple App Store. Unless a custom license agreement is provided in App Store Connect, your license to use the app is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

1. App license

TidyType currently relies on Apple's standard app license terms rather than a custom EULA. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms for app licensing, Apple's terms control the license to download and use the app.

2. What the App does

The App is a custom keyboard that rewrites and translates text you choose, using configurable one-tap "chips", powered by Apple Intelligence's on-device Foundation Models. Rewriting runs entirely on your device. The keyboard makes no network requests and transmits nothing you type. The companion app can optionally fetch a public chip catalog; this is described in the Privacy Policy and can be turned off.

3. Subscriptions

Full AI functionality — AI text rewriting, translation, and your own custom chips (including chip import/export) — requires a TidyType Pro auto-renewable subscription. Typing, autocorrect, word suggestions, emoji, and the rest of the keyboard remain free.

• Plans and pricing. TidyType Pro is offered as monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions. Prices vary by country or region and are displayed in your local currency on the App Store purchase screen before you confirm.
• Free trial. New subscribers are eligible for a 14-day free trial once per Apple ID. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription at the price shown when you start the trial. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Billing and auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions on your device after purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Family Sharing. TidyType Pro supports Apple Family Sharing, where available and enabled in your Apple account settings.
• Offer codes and promotions. We may provide offer or promo codes for free or discounted access. Codes are single-use unless stated otherwise, have no cash value, cannot be combined, and may expire.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple; refund requests are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

4. Device requirements

AI rewriting requires an Apple Intelligence–capable device with Apple Intelligence enabled. Subscribing does not add AI features to a device that does not support them. It is your responsibility to confirm compatibility; the App indicates when Apple Intelligence is available.

5. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy at https://tidytype.io/privacy-policy-ios. In short: the keyboard collects nothing and sends nothing you type; everything runs on your device.

6. Your content and acceptable use

The text you type and the rewrites you generate are yours. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before using it, and for using TidyType in compliance with applicable laws and Apple's terms.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted at https://tidytype.io/ios/terms with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
